Description
The Tioga Hotel was built in 1929 by J.W. Pratt and was leased by the Boss Hotel Chain for most of its life. Designed in the Art Deco style, it features gargoyles on each corner. It was one of the state's first fireproof hotels and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991. All floors, exterior walls and roof are reinforced concrete or masonry. The historic Tioga Hotel was reborn as Tioga Suites on November 1, 2004. It has undergone renovation while maintaining the historic character. The property features luxury hotel suites with Simmons mattresses. The suites are named for famous Kansans and others associated with Kansas. The hotel has 40 rooms, ranging in price from $39 - $89 per night. There is a ballroom on the second floor, as well as an outdoor patio. There are two restaurants located inside the hotel - Main Street Family Restaurant, which serves golden fried chicken, delicious desserts and much more, and Grandma's Subs & Yogurt, which serves all types of sub sandwiches, salads and soups as well as several flavors of yogurt.

Take I-35 South until the Ottawa exit to Highway 169. Take
Highway 169 South and take the Cherry Street exit at Chanute.
Turn left at Cherry Street then turn south at Lincoln Street.
We are two blocks ahead on your right, at the corner of Main
and Lincoln.
Direction to the Property from East -
From Highway 39 turn south on Lincoln Street. We are one block
ahead on your right at the corner of Main Street and Lincoln.
Direction to the Property from North -
Take Cherry Street exit from Highway 169, turn east on Cherry
Street. At the stoplight on Lincoln Street, turn right which
is south and the hotel is two blocks ahead on your right at
the corner of Main Street and Lincoln.
Direction to the Property from South -
Take Cherry Street exit from Highway 169, turn east on Cherry
Street. At the stoplight on Lincoln Street, turn right which
is south and the hotel is two blocks ahead on your right at
the corner of Main Street and Lincoln.
Direction to the Property from West -
Highway 39 turns into Cherry Street when it enters Chanute.
Stay on this street until reaching the stoplight on Lincoln
Street, then turn right which is south and the hotel is two
blocks ahead on your right at the corner of Main Street and
