State capital Topeka has the expected selection of governmental sites but also find in this pleasant town a number of historic attractions, a museum or two and easily accessible lakeside activity.
The Jetmore City Lake and HorseThief Reservoir compliment each other well. The City Lake is only three miles west and 2 miles south of Jetmore - and open all year! Daily permits are required - and are available at the City Office (south side of the square, downtown) or at the lake entrance. Yearly permits are also available. Boating, fishing, camping, playground, beach volleyball, water skiing, swimming. Five electrical hookups for RVs and ten camping spaces. We have received some good moisture this year and the lake looks wonderful. Come and spend some time relaxing at the Jetmore City Lake! Close enough to town to come in for a cold drink and supplies...yet just far enough out of town to kick-back and enjoy nature. Come spend some time with us soon.
