Located nine short blocks from I-70, tucked into a charming, intimate setting, Ellis Lakeside Campground is an excellent place to unwind by watching the wide variety of birds that frequent the campground while relaxing under the cooling shade of 100-year-old cottonwood trees.
The 18 wide, graveled, pull-through campsites--15 with individual water and electrical (both 30 and 50 amp) hookups and one handicap accessible site--can easily accommmodate today's larger RV units. There is also a large, level, grassy tenting area. Amenities include a clean bathhouse with hot showers, public telephone, picnic tables, charcoal grills and fire rings, playground, boat dock, fishing pier and Wi-Fi availability.
A grocery store, laundromat, and other shopping and dining opportunities are just blocks away. It is a short ten blocks to take a refreshing dip in the municipal swimming pool, and there is a great 9-hole, grass greens golf course with watered fairways just ten blocks away in the opposite direction. The campground is patrolled 24/7 by the Ellis Police Department, and has EMT ambulance service available.
